MSI Violins
MSI violins are a culmination of all I have learned working as head luthier at Zeta, as well as working extensively with Drew Tretick over the past few years to develop the finest electric violins exhibiting excellent craftsmanship, playability and tone. I also want to acknowledge Keith McMillen (the founder of Zeta and a great innovator) for giving me the opportunity to work with him designing and building electric violins for Zeta.
MSI violins are made of excellent tone woods chosen for beauty as well as their sonic capabilities. The violins have an arched top similar to an acoustic giving them a familiar feel. The back is carved out to compliment the futuristic lines of the instrument as well as to reduce weight.
The violins are equipped with a height adjustable MSI bridge/pickup system that sounds rich & full. It has been described by some violinist as an “acoustic like” tone.
The MSI bridge/pickup system utilizes multiple piezo elements imbedded in a laminated wood bridge. Years of experimentation went into the development of this pickup to achieve just the right tone. A separate bridge foot with height adjustment make it easy to set up the instrument to accommodate different playing styles.
